AMG Set Green Lights For Hybrid But Not For Diesel

Reported by LeftLaneNews.com, AMG will not follow BMW and Audi to come out with a high performance diesel engine. But they will more focus on hybrid technology and said it is the future technology for high performance cars



Ola Källeniu, the Chairman of Mercedes-AMG said, they will introduce the hybrid segment when the market is ready and the same time they keep improving the technology.

Although the hybrid technology proven to increase the engine torque but there are an extra weight for the battery packs which effects handling and braking system


At the moment, they will also help to produce a small engine including engines like the 355 horsepower 2.0L four-cylinder earmarked for the CLA45 AMG
