VW announced that there will no for high end version of Polo which Polo R as Golf which have Golf R. VW said to it is not suitable to fits AWD into this limited space Polo.

On the other hand, Audi A1 which share the same platform as Polo will have AWD system. Engineer from Audi said it is possible to release an S version of A1 with AWD system with tweaks.

Maybe the cost is the main issues here… we don’t know. But if the price of Polo R is slightly different from the normal Golf GTi, I would by Golf GTi!
